New Equine Magazine Available Now In South Carolina

COLUMBIA, SC - September 28, 2012 - Carolina Hoofbeats Publisher, Rose Cushing is proud to announce the debut issue of South Carolina Hoofbeats, now available in local feed and tack shops throughout South Carolina and online at www.SCHoofbeats.com. The first statewide Equine magazine for South Carolina will feature all riding disciplines and breeds. South Carolina Hoofbeats is published quarterly with 5,000 print copies distributed statewide. First class mail subscriptions are also available for $12 per year.
The online version offers bonus content such as additional articles, news, photographs and a statewide event calendar. South Carolina Hoofbeats welcomes contributions for all South Carolina horse people. On the South Carolina Hoofbeats Facebook page readers can post their comments, questions and ideas.
“According to the American Horse Council’s 2004 economic survey, the horse industry represents a $2.7 billion dollar impact on the South Carolina economy, with 84,000 horses and thousands of people who ride, own and compete,” Cushing explained. “The state has a very diverse horse industry and horse population, and I look forward to discovering all the exciting events, horses and people that make up the South Carolina equine industry from backyard to the show ring.”
The first issue of South Carolina Hoofbeats includes information about upcoming events such as The 31st American Heart Association Beach Ride in Myrtle Beach and South Carolina’s first Extreme Mustang Makeover event. Readers will also enjoy a profile of “Horse Tales”, South Carolina’s own equine television show.
Horsemen will get valuable information for all horse owners on equine encephalitis, disaster preparation, and ideas from our legal advisor.
