Graham Announces $11 Million for South Carolina

The awards include:
South Carolina Department of Public Safety
- $6,140,174 for the 2010 Victims of Crime Act Victim Assistance Formula to enhance crime victim services in South Carolina. These funds are competitively awarded by the State to local community-based organizations that provide direct services to crime victims.
- $710,600 for the Juvenile Accountability Block Grant Program that aims to reduce juvenile offenses through programs that reach out to both the juvenile offender and the juvenile justice system.
- $174,636 for the 2010 Project Safe Neighborhoods program that aims to reduce gun crime, link existing local programs together, and provide the tools necessary to succeed.
- $84,945 for the Title V Community Prevention Grants Program that seeks
to reduce the risks and enhance the protective factors that keep at-risk
youth from entering the juvenile justice system.
South Carolina Office of the Attorney General
- $305,851 for the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program that aims to design, broker and deliver focused training seminars for law enforcement and prosecutors in order to build investigative, forensic and prosecutorial capacity throughout the state.
South Carolina Office of Victim Assistance
- $4,364,000 for the 2010 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Victim Compensation Formula to enhance victim compensation payments to eligible crime victims in South Carolina.
