Brookgreen Gardens’ Cool Summer Evenings Performances - July 25-27

MURRELS INLET, SC - Brookgreen is open late until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for Cool Summer Evenings wit live entertainment and kids’ activities that are free with garden admission.

Wednesday, July 25 'Music in the Live Oak Allee' features  Dan Hull and Amy Tully (Classical guitar and flute)

Thursday July 26 'Family Nights at Brookgreen’- Jerry Walls, naturalist , professional bird guide and co-star of CBS television's 'Carolina Safari', will present educational and interactive program featuring his collection of live animals. This week, Jerry will focus on Going Batty—Bats! The hour-long programs will begin at 5 p.m. in the Lowcountry Zoo area at the Sculpture Center outdoor patio and will be held rain or shine. From 6 – 7:30 p.m., join us at the Welcome Center for 'Family Fun with Science—Oh, My!' an interactive program for families. With the same intrigue of spotting lions, and tigers, and bears, science activities will attract participants at stations for K-2 and 3-6 graders. Together, family members construct items and make predictions, view supplies and test choices, or play games to identify things.

Friday evening concert on July 27 performance is by Grenoldo Frasier (Keyboard, Vocals) Grenoldo Frazier, actor and composer, who has performed in numerous Broadway musicals and has been an artist-in-residence at North Carolina State University, Harvard Divinity School with Dr. Gavin Moses, Penn State/Harrisburg.

Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to be more comfortable during the performances.

Brookgreen Gardens, a non-profit National Historic Landmark, accredited out- door museum and zoo, is located on U.S. 17 between Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island, South Carolina. It is open daily to the public.
